Some of our correspondence received during and after the 2009 tour.....
Phil,
Our best to you and all of
the BLE group. It was both our pleasure, and honor to have participated in this
event. We certainly have made some lasting friends, and are most grateful to
you, Brett, and Mike for arranging, and allowing us to participate. It has
enriched our lives and those of our children. I must admit that I have been
fondly missing our “Aussie boys” already, and I know the rest of the family has
too.

Dear Brett and Phil,
Wow, what can I say...Mark
has had THE MOST FANTASTIC TIME EVER. He desperately wanted to stay
longer with his host family who apparently are the "sickest family
ever" and I really cannot thank you enough for managing to billet him with
the perfect family. Brett and I are green with envy for Marks experience
(he phoned us every day or we phoned him) and had already planned a trip to L.A. in September.
Looks like Mark is coming with us now he has "family" over there.
I don’t think Mark would
change a thing (except to stay longer). He cannot stop talking about the
games he played and the games they got to watch, the shopping, the theme parks,
the food, the other kids from QLD and the States. Maybe he would like us
to come over next time, but only for our wallets!!
Anyway, I just wanted to
send you a quick THANK YOU. It was well worth EVERY SINGLE CENT !!!!!
With our kindest regards
Karen and Brett Anderson
Hi Brett,
Steve and I (as well as
Glynn and Rachael - Nick's siblings) would like to say it has been very
valuable and informative with receiving USA updates. It is the first thing we do when we get up in
the morning to check for updates from you. We have spoken to Nicholas a couple
of times, but the updates fill in all the gaps.
As the Morris family
all did the same tour in 2003 with Phil (Nicholas was the bat boy then at the
age of 8) and Rachael being the first girl to go (good to see some more girls
this year) we know what a great time and experience it is.
We also know how full it is.
I ended up with an infected blister from Disneyland but didn't know how bad it
was until a few days later when we were in San Francisco when I finally had time to
realize the pain in my foot was red and travelling up my leg. I hadn't seen my feet
for days as I would tumble into bed with exhaustion.
We can't thank you all enough for
the wonderful experience Nicholas has had. We feel confident knowing he is
being looked after and don't feel anxious at all. For a parent of a 13 year old
that is a big feat!
So enjoy the BBQ, put a shrimp on
the BBQ and have a beer on us!
Kind regards,
Glenda and Steve
